I have moved my mom in because she just can't take care of herself anymore. She is riddled with RA. She has not left the house since she moved in 8 mo ago. I am having such a hard time. She is 68 and overweight and can't do ahole lot. She is using a walker right now but i know it won't be long till she won't be able to and go to a wheel chair. She will not go to the dr or make any attempt to do exercises, i do know it is very painful! I really do understand but she is giving up and it is killing me. I am at my wits end not knowing what to do to help her. I talked to the Dr and he said she has to make an appt She won't! If anyone has any helpful info i would be so gratful

Arthritis does not discriminate age? Soo painful emotionally and physically. Your never too young to get arthritis, my best friend at 9 years old had arthritis back in 1993.. Noone believed her because she was a sweet little girl who loved to ice skate and rarly let people see her pain. I know she uses a spray called Privic its for people who have ?restless legs? but she swears by it. If it helps her I can only hope it helps more
Best Regards.

I can help!

Your story really touched me, as I was in a simialr situation with my father. He was suffering terrible arthritis in his hips, elbows and fingers, and we tried everything to get him up and moving. For a while it seemed that it was just easier for him to stay at home watching TV but after a while he got worse and it became too much of a strain on the rest of the family. Eventually, a neighbour recommended some pain reliever's like Bengay, and one called Elmore Oil. Elmore Oil is an Australian pain reliever that I found worked really well for Dad, and he is still using it to this day. It's a topical pain reliever that he can rub on himself, and after just a few days his mobility increased considerably. It meant he could be more active and more for himself, and I was able to get him out of the house (thankfully)! Give it a try, there is a page here where you can get a free trial pack, although I buy it from the chemist for him these days. Good luck :)
