INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT ZUCCINI

Zucchini and other summer squash varieties contain vitamins A and C.

They also contain potassium and calcium.

Zucchini can grow to the size of a baseball bat, however the flavor of zucchini is best when it is less than six inches long.

Although not as potent as root vegetables like garlic or onion, zuccinni has been found to have anti-cancer type effects.

Zuccinni and summer squash have been found to help reduce symptoms of a condition occurring in men called benign prostatic hypertrophy, where the prostate gland becomes enlarged, which can cause difficulty with urinary and sexual function. This is especially true when combined with other phytonutrient foods.
