Aug 6, MTT, World Tapping Summit...FREE to join and learn

In my website I speak of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) as one of the ways to control emotions and improve our health.

I use these techniques myself as one of the many tools I use to live with Rheumatoid Arthritis yet without the pain, suffering and limitions associated with this health challenge.

I'm always on the lookout for free or inexpensive methods to help myself and others live a healthier life.

I'm very pleased to share with you information on this upcoming event called Tapping World Summit that is free to join, and, it is an online event making it available in the comfort of your own home.

I encourage everyone to check this out because it's well known that stress can be a huge contributing factor to RA as well as all immune challenges.

The website to learn more about this event is http://products.mercola.com/tapping-world-summit/?source=nl

Again, this event is free, very useful techniques that are easy to learn and can be used any time to improve health by controlling stress to the body.

Mar 20, Is it luck?

I hear all the time things like, You are so lucky that you ...

Live on acreage.
Have a garden where we get all our vegetables.
Have kids who never got into trouble.
and, of course, recovered from RA.

That's alot of luck in one persons life. I, of course don't see it as luck.

It took dedication and determination to buy the acreage and build the house. We chose to have less money than our friends while we paid things off. And, of course building the house ourselves made it affordable.

The garden is alot of work and demands alot of my time to keep it weed free.

My kids, well, on this I am very lucky because many parents put in the time and effort yet the kids make choices that are less than desireable, so I won't deny my luck on this.

Recovering from RA I don't consider luck. It took 2 years of dedicated research and trial before I found success.

Since then I've shared with others the best I can, all that I've learned.

Tonight while reading I came across something that I would love to share with everyone.

I believe this is the "secret" to my success and what drove me to make all of the changes I've outlined on the website.

The following is written by Elizabeth Towne in a book that was writen many years ago titled How to Grow Success.

I have studied success for many years because I believe if we know the recipe for success we can heal our body.

I hope you enjoy the following excerp from her book.

"The Essentials to Success are these:
1. Good Will toward all. This includes justice, honesty, a clear conscience and loving heart.
2.	An Aim ; a stake to be reached.
3.	Eteral Stick-to-it-iveness.
4.	Concentration of thought and effort upon the details of reaching the stake set.
A persons aim in life is the reflection of his own opinion. A man with a pretty low opinion of himself has no aim at all. He feels merely a fallen twig borne helplessly on the bosom of life. Wake up, exalt yourself, and set your stake just a high as you dare. Then, as you find you can face your stake with a feeling that you are really going to make it after all, congratulate yourself upon your soul stature, and move your stake higher.

Jun 19, Day 7 of the 2 week detox

Diary of progress on 2 week detox diet...

Uneventful day, foot is still feeling better than at the beginning of the detox diet, but not totally pain free yet.

Disappointed because my tongue still has a slight white coating in the morning which I expected to be gone by now from my past experiences.

Energy is good, spent the entire day cleaning house, my least favorite chore.

Still having cravings but noticed today that food has so much more flavor than before the detox. Bit into a strawberry and it was like an explosion of flavor, almost overwhelming.

Watching my nails to see improvement but that won't show for weeks after the diet is done. Presently have some type of fungus (yeast is the likely cause) on three finger nails and one toe nail.

Food cravings continue but I am being very good at resisting. Remind myself often to eat often as this is the best way to keep to the diet.

Jun 17, 2 Week Detox

Well I had intended to journal my entire detox but missed the first 4 days, which were uneventful. No changes during the first 4 days.

I started the detox on Thursday. Reason I picked this time to begin was I had a tooth pulled and with the product I'm using for the detox, I thought it would be a great way to pull all the toxins out of my system from the infected tooth and perhaps avoid dry socket. I also have fungus on my nails again (common for me) and this detox is supposed to kill that, so we'll see how it works.

Day 5 today and I have cravings all day long. The cravings started on day 3, I wanted something with flavor to drink. Today I just want SOMETHING, ANYTHING that I'm not allowed.

I did notice today that the pain I've been feeling in my right foot has started to ease up. (the pain is from way too much walking on rough ground and standing on concrete prepainting boards for siding on the barn), combined with poor eating habits over the winter.

It's my hope that another few days and I won't remember the pain because it will feel so good.

So far no bad signs of detoxing, although for 2 weeks prior I cleaned up my diet and did suffer from sugar withdrawal. (headaches)

Will try to post each day.

I always reply to any question, even if I can't answer the question, I then find someone that can.

Sadly, tonight I realized that my replies were going to my own webmail rather than to the person they were intended for.

Another case of my lack of experience with being a website host.

As I am now aware, this will not happen again.

May 15, Stress Tip

Interesting experience in the last few days and something that I thought might help others realize something about stress.

I sent my vehicle in for repairs. It wouldn't run so I had it towed into the shop at 6pm.

At 8am the next morning I get a call saying that my vehicle has been broken into and extensive damage as a result.

Now,this is my older truck that I need to keep just because we live on acreage and need a truck. It doesn't have comprehensive insurance because I didn't believe anyone would ever try to steal the vehicle.....However, that's exactly what they were trying to do.

I felt, immediately Violated and angry because of the senseless destruction. Of course they couldn't steal the vehicle, it was in because it wouldn't start. They tore it apart, destroying the steering column, the dash, the passenger door.

Took me about 20 minutes to realize, it doesn't matter. It wasn't one of my children or my husband or any other person I love, it is a vehicle.

I asked myself, will this affect my life 1 year from today, or 5 years from today. The answer, NO.

My husband went to rant and beat himself up because he took the insurance off it. I said, will that change anything, lets forget it. I will get it fixed the cheapest way possible and close my eyes as I sign the visa.

Everything happens for a reason, maybe the truck would have been fixed and on the way home I would have crashed and this incident prevented that.......that's my story and I'm sticking to it but meanwhile I didn't allow this incident to cause me the stress I would have years ago....before I learned to value HEALTH

May 8, Garden Schedule

I have been working on the garden schedule to post here in the blog, with many problems. Sadly I am a more experienced gardener than I am a site builder so I ran into technical difficulties.

This page is not the format I would choose but I don't have the luxury of the time I would like to put into makiing it more user friendly as it is now gardening season and getting the garden planted has to come first.

With this in mind, I hope you enjoy the information and that it is as helpful to you as it is to me.

I hope to get pictures of my gardens posted for you to see, and, of course June's schedule will be posted before the start of the month.

HAPPY GARDENING!
