Rheumatoid Arthritis Blog
My life, like everyone's is filled with stress and in this blog I hope to help others see how we can reduce the stress we experience, thereby reducing the damage to our health that stress causes.
We all have stress......it's how we choose to handle this stress that dictates how much our bodies will suffer as a result of stress.
Gardening can be an excellent form of exercise for people suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis. Gardening is not only excellent exercise but also a great stress reliever and can give a person something to look forward to while watching the "fruits of their harvest" grow.
This blog will start by trying to help garden lovers (like mysself) make gardening easier and more enjoyable.

Jun 19, 2008, Day 7 of the 2 week detox
Diary of progress on 2 week detox diet...
Uneventful day, foot is still feeling better than at the beginning of the detox diet, but not totally pain free yet.
Disappointed because my tongue still has a slight white coating in the morning which I expected to be gone by now from my past experiences.
Energy is good, spent the entire day cleaning house, my least favorite chore.
Still having cravings but noticed today that food has so much more flavor than before the detox. Bit into a strawberry and it was like an explosion of flavor, almost overwhelming.
Watching my nails to see improvement but that won't show for weeks after the diet is done. Presently have some type of fungus (yeast is the likely cause) on three finger nails and one toe nail.
Food cravings continue but I am being very good at resisting. Remind myself often to eat often as this is the best way to keep to the diet.

Jun 17, 2008, 2 Week Detox
Well I had intended to journal my entire detox but missed the first 4 days, which were uneventful. No changes during the first 4 days.
I started the detox on Thursday. Reason I picked this time to begin was I had a tooth pulled and with the product I'm using for the detox, I thought it would be a great way to pull all the toxins out of my system from the infected tooth and perhaps avoid dry socket. I also have fungus on my nails again (common for me) and this detox is supposed to kill that, so we'll see how it works.
Day 5 today and I have cravings all day long. The cravings started on day 3, I wanted something with flavor to drink. Today I just want SOMETHING, ANYTHING that I'm not allowed.
I did notice today that the pain I've been feeling in my right foot has started to ease up. (the pain is from way too much walking on rough ground and standing on concrete prepainting boards for siding on the barn), combined with poor eating habits over the winter.
It's my hope that another few days and I won't remember the pain because it will feel so good.
So far no bad signs of detoxing, although for 2 weeks prior I cleaned up my diet and did suffer from sugar withdrawal. (headaches)
Will try to post each day.

Jun 9, 2008, Public Appology
To anyone who has ever asked me a question through the submission form I need to appologize.
I always reply to any question, even if I can't answer the question, I then find someone that can.
Sadly, tonight I realized that my replies were going to my own webmail rather than to the person they were intended for.
Another case of my lack of experience with being a website host.
As I am now aware, this will not happen again.
